COOL STUFF THAT HAPPENED SATURDAY

****Houston Astros pitching prospect Rogelio Armenteros threw eight shutout innings for the Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies against Tacoma, allowing just one walk and one hit with eight strikeouts. He now has a 2.03 ERA in 53 innings for Fresno, with a 68/17 K/BB and only 37 hits allowed. Don’t overlook him.

****Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Michael Kopech made his Triple-A debut for the Charlotte Knights yesterday, throwing five credible innings against the Gwinnett Braves, giving up two hits, three walks, and one run while fanning six.

****St. Louis Cardinals pitching prospect Austin Gomber gave up one run in seven innings for Double-A Springfield against Tulsa, allowing two hits and two runs with nine strikeouts.

****New York Yankees farmhand Dante Bichette Jr went 5-for-5 with three runs scored and three RBI for Double-A Trenton.

****Toronto Blue Jays prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr had another good game, going 3-for-4 with Dunedin in the Florida State League with a home run and five RBI against Tampa.

****Atlanta Braves pitching prospect Kolby Allard threw seven shutout innings for Double-A Mississippi, giving up five hits and no walks, fanning nine.
