COOL STUFF THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY

****Houston Astros first base prospect A.J. Reed went 3-for-5 with two home runs and six RBI for Triple-A Fresno against Reno in Pacific Coast League play.

****Cleveland Indians catching prospect Francisco Mejia went 3-for-4 with a home run and three runs scored for Double-A Akron. He’s now hitting .307/.358/.509 in 316 at-bats.

****Boston Red Sox third base prospect Michael Chavis went 4-for-4 for Double-A Portland. He’s now hitting .280/.335/.540 in 200 at-bats since being promoted to the Eastern League from High-A on June 22nd.

****Milwaukee Brewers pitching prospect Corbin Burnes threw eight shutout innings for Double-A Biloxi against Mobile in Southern League play, giving up two hits and two walks while fanning eight. He now has a 1.97 ERA in 78 innings for the Shuckers with an 80/12 K/BB.

****Pittsburgh Pirates infield prospect Cole Tucker went 3-for-4 with a home run for Double-A Altoona.
