****Tampa Bay Rays lefty Blake Snell (not a rookie of course but still a young player establishing himself) went seven strong innings against the Seattle Mariners yesterday, giving up two hits and two walks while fanning eight.

****New York Yankees third base prospect Miguel Andujar went 3-for-4 with a double and a home run for Triple-A Scranton in International League action against Durham.

****Oakland Athletics infield prospect Max Schrock went 3-for-5 for Double-A Midland and is now hitting .323/.383/.432 on the season.

****Cincinnati Reds farmhand Brandon Dixon went 4-for-5 with three home runs and seven RBI for Triple-A Louisville against Rochester.

****Texas Rangers prospect Kyle Cody threw seven shutout innings for the High-A Down East Wood Ducks in Carolina League play against Buies Creek, giving up one hit and two walks while fanning eight.
