Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Saturday, July 29th, 2017. Let’s get to it.

****Today’s Minor League Scoreboard

****Today’s MLB scoreboard

****Yesterday’s Highlights can be found in the Friday discussion thread.

COOL STUFF THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY

****Chicago Cubs prospect Jeimer Candelario went 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs and three RBI for Triple-A Iowa in Pacific Coast League action against El Paso. He’s hitting .270/.365/.514 with 27 doubles and 12 homers for the denizens of Des Moines.

****New York Yankees prospect Billy McKinney went 4-for-5 with a home run and six RBI for Triple-A Scranton in their contest against Charlotte.

****Toronto Blue Jays pitching prospect Ryan Borucki threw seven strong innings for Double-A New Hampshire against Binghamton in Eastern League play, giving up three hits, one walk, and one run while fanning seven. This is his second Double-A start since being promoted from High-A Dunedin; he threw seven shutout innings in his first game for the Fisher Cats back on July 23rd, so right now the AA transition is going well.
