Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Friday, July 28th, 2017. Let’s get to it.

****Yesterday’s Highlights can be found in the Thursday discussion thread.

COOL STUFF THAT HAPPENED ON THURSDAY

****Another excellent game from Colorado Rockies infield prospect Ryan McMahon, going 4-for-5 with a home run and three RBI for Triple-A Albuquerque. He’s now 11-for-19 in his last four games.

****Detroit Tigers pitching prospect Beau Burrows allowed two runs over five innings for Double-A Erie in Eastern League action, giving up two hits and walking three but standing out with 10 strikeouts.

****Atlanta Braves infield prospect Ozzie Albies went 3-for-5 with two runs scored for Triple-A Durham.

****Minnesota Twins outfield prospect and 2017 CBA-rounder Brent Rooker hit his first home run for High-A Fort Myers. He’s now 7-for-35 (.200) in 10 games since being promoted to the Florida State League from the Appalachian League; Fort Myers is a much more challenging environment than Elizabethton, although he’s maintained a patient approach with seven walks so far.

****Toronto Blue Jays first round pick Logan Warmoth from the University of North Carolina went 2-for-4 with a home run for Vancouver in the Northwest League. He’s hitting .388/.423/.633 in his first 11 games.
