Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Monday, July 24th, 2017. Let’s get to it.

****Today’s Minor League Scoreboard

****Today’s MLB scoreboard

****Yesterday’s Highlights can be found in the Sunday discussion thread.

COOL STUFF THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY

****Tampa Bay Rays prospect Brent Honeywell threw five innings for Triple-A Durham yesterday, giving up four hits and a walk for two runs, but fanning 11. He has 70 strikeouts in his last 50 innings of work for the Bulls.

****Chicago White Sox prospect Eloy Jimenez went 5-for-6 with a homer and two runs scored for High-A Winston-Salem. He’s hitting .452 in 31 at-bats since coming to the White Sox from the Chicago Cubs in the Jose Quintana trade.

****San Diego Padres prospect Fernando Tatis Jr. went 2-for-3 with two walks for Low-A Fort Wayne. He’s up to .269/.367/.496 with 16 homers, 21 steals, 51 walks, and 106 strikeouts in 349 games, very good for anyone but especially for an 18-year-old in the pitching-oriented Midwest League. He’s certainly a top 50 prospect at this point and possibly top 30.

****Oakland Athletics prospect Max Schrock went 5-for-8 in a doubleheader for Double-A Midland in Texas League action against Corpus Christi. His solid season continues, now up to .314/.372/.442 in 283 at-bats. He’s made only four errors and has a sharp .986 fielding percentage at second base.
