Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Friday, July 14th 2017. The minor leagues are back in full action and MLB has returned. Let’s get to it.

****Today’s Minor League Scoreboard

****Today’s MLB scoreboard

****Yesterday’s Highlights can be found in the Thursday discussion thread.

COOL STUFF THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY

****Atlanta Braves megabeastsuperduperpremiere prospect Ronald Acuna went 3-for-5 with a home run in his first game for Triple-A Gwinnett. Right now a very compelling case can be made that Acuna is the best prospect in baseball, not White Sox prospect Yoan Moncada or Blue Jays prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

****In strikeout southpaw action, Minnesota Twins prospect Stephen Gonsalves struck out nine over five innings for Double-A Chattanooga, while Pittsburgh Pirates lefty Taylor Hearn fanned 10 over 4.2 innings for High-A Bradenton.

****The Boston Red Sox promoted third base prospect Rafael Devers to Triple-A Pawtucket. He was hitting .300/.369/.575 for Double-A Portland and obviously has nothing left to learn in the Eastern League.

****Philadelphia Phillies prospect J.P. Crawford went 2-for-4 with a home run for Triple- A Lehigh Valley. He homered in his previous game back on July 9th as well.
