Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Wednesday, July 12th 2017.
Yesterday was thin for prospect action. Most minor leagues were inactive as attention was focused on the 2017 MLB All Star Game. Today will be even leaner: the Triple-A All Star Game in Tacoma starts at 9 PM Eastern time but otherwise there are no minor league games going on. I had intended to live-blog the Triple-A game but a family obligation will prevent me from doing so. I will still post a game discussion thread for those interested.
In the meantime, here is a normal Gameday discussion thread.

COOL STUFF THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY
There were still a handful of minor league contests yesterday.
****Chicago White Sox prospect Spencer Adams fanned 12 for Double-A Birmingham but still lost the game 1-0 when Los Angeles Angels prospect Matt Thaiss hit an RBI double for Mobile.
****Cincinnati Reds pitching prospect Jose Lopez fanned 11 over seven innings for Double-A Pensacola, allowing three hits and one run against Chattanooga. Minnesota Twins pitching prospect Fernando Romero was also strong for the Lookouts, giving up just two hits in five innings with five strikeouts.
****Atlanta Braves outfield prospect Ronald Acuna hit a home run for Double-A Mississippi. He’s now hitting .318/.368/.507 since being promoted to the Southern League.
