Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Wednesday, June 28th, 2017. Let’s get started.

****Today’s Minor League Scoreboard

****Today’s MLB scoreboard

****Yesterday’s Highlights can be found in the Tuesday discussion thread.

COOL STUFF THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY

****There was an excellent discussion about Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Tyler Glasnow in the discussion thread, notably regarding recent changes in his delivery and approach.

****Philadelphia Phillies second base prospect Scott Kingery went 2-for-5 with a pair of home runs and three RBI for Triple-A Lehigh Valley. He was promoted to the IronPigs this week after hitting .313/.379/.608 with 18 homers in 69 contests for Double-A Reading.

****Cleveland Indians first base prospect Bobby Bradley went 3-for-5 with three homers and seven RBI for Double-A Akron. He’s hit .333 in his last 10 games with five walks and only four strikeouts.

****Fellow Indians prospect Shawn Morimando threw a nine-inning shutout for Triple-A Columbus, giving up five hits and zero walks while fanning 12. That’s his second nine-inning shutout this month.

****St. Louis Cardinals pitching prospect John Gant threw eight strong innings for Triple-A Memphis, giving up three runs on five hits and a walk while fanning five. Unfortunately he took the loss against the Omaha Stormchasers but he’s performed fairly well overall this year with a 3.19 ERA and a 32/9 K/BB in 37 innings.
