****Toronto Blue Jays outfield prospect Anthony Alford went 3-for-4 yesterday for Double-A New Hampshire. Through nine games he’s hitting .500/.590/.656.

****Chicago Cubs prospect Jeimer Candelario went 2-for-5 yesterday for Triple-A Iowa and is now hitting .326/.408/.791 through 12 games, 43 at-bats.

****Not a prospect per-se, but I’m certainly rooting for Eric Thames. More on him tomorrow. He’s up to .405/.479/1.000 through 12 games with the Milwaukee Brewers.

****Battle to the death last night between Hartford and Harrisburg in the Double-A Eastern League, the contest going 13 innings and eventually ending in a 16-14 victory for Harrisburg. Senators outfielder Andrew Stevenson went 5-for-7 with a double and three runs scored, while Hartford’s Ryan McMahon also went 5-for-7. McMahon is now hitting .413.
