YESTERDAY’S HIGHLIGHTS
****Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Reynaldo Lopez fanned 10 over 5.1 innings of work for Triple-A Charlotte. He also walked four and gave up four hits and four runs, but reportedly hit 98 MPH.
****New York Mets first base prospect Dominic Smith went 4-for-6 for Triple-A Las Vegas and is now hitting .444 in his first six games.
***Two homers yesterday for St. Louis Cardinals catching prospect Carson Kelly for Triple-A Memphis.
****Texas Rangers pitching prospect Connor Sadzeck threw five shutout innings for Double-A Frisco, fanning nine, walking nobody, and allowing only one hit.
****Houston Astros prospect Forrest Whitley was lights-out in his debut in the Low-A Midwest League, throwing five shutout innings for Quad Cities against Peoria, walking two, allowing one hit, and fanning six.
