****Cleveland Indians prospect Yandy Diaz went 2-for-3, bringing his spring average to .444, in a 6-3 Indians loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Diaz has made the Opening Day roster.

****Andrew Benintendi went 2-for-2 with a triple for the Boston Red Sox yesterday in their 8-1 win over the Washington Nationals, raising his spring average to .322.

****Shawn Brody of Beyond the Boxscore views Houston Astros reliever Michael Feliz as a star in the making. I agree with his logic.

****Veteran minor leaguer Brock Stassi made the Opening Day roster for the Philadelphia Phillies, making him everyone’s hero according to Liz Roscher at The Good Phight.
