Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Monday, March 13th, 2017. Here are some baseball news items and reading tidbits worthy of your attention as the workweek begins and the East Coast blizzard approaches.

****Tampa Bay Rays first base prospect Casey Gillaspie slammed two homers yesterday, with teammate Jake Bauers adding another long ball in an 8-2 Rays victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. Gillaspie is now 5-for-19 on the spring with six RBI while Bauers is 8-for-20.

****Pittsburgh Pirates outfield prospect Jose Osuna is 11-for-25 with four home runs this spring.

****Houston Astros prospect A.J. Reed is 9-for-25 with four homers as well. I will have a longer article about him this week.

****Anthony Castrovince at SportsonEarth points out that shortstops are not so short anymore.
