The 2017 MLB season has (unofficially) begun. Let’s start talking about the upcoming Top 175 prospects list

Today is the unofficial start of baseball season as football is finally over and spring training is rapidly approaching.

This morning I updated the Top 20 prospects for 2017 per organization list to account for winter trades. I think I got everyone but feel free to check and let me know here if I missed someone important. Next on the agenda is the Top 175 Prospects list for 2017, which is my main work project for this week. When that is complete, there will likely be some grade changes and the big team index lists will be adjusted as necessary to account for them.

After that we will begin our 2017 MLB draft coverage!

For today, let’s start thinking about the Top 175. Right now I know that Andrew Benintendi of the Red Sox will be number one and Yoan Moncada of the White Sox will be number two and Dansby Swanson of the Braves will most likely be number three. After that, I’m not sure.
