Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Friday, October 27th, 2017. Here are some highlights from Thursday’s Arizona Fall League action.

*****Pittsburgh Pirates prospect Kevin Kramer and Chicago White Sox prospect Seby Zavala each contributed home runs for the Glendale Desert Dogs in their 10-5 win over the Surprise Saguaros. Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Burch Smith, who missed all of the 2015 and 2016 seasons with injury, threw four scoreless innings with six strikeouts for Surprise until the bullpen blew the game for him.

*****The Peoria Javelinas stomped the Mesa Solar Sox 19-4. Atlanta Braves prospect Austin Riley and Toronto Blue Jays prospect Max Pentacost each went 4-for-6 with a home run for Peoria, while Braves prospect Ronald Acuna and Jays prospect Jonathan Davis each scored four runs. Riley actually hit for the cycle.

*****New York Mets prospect Kevin Kaczmarski went 2-for-4 with a home run for the Scottsdale Scorpions, who played the Salt River Rafters to a 4-4, 11-inning tie game. Colorado Rockies prospect Zach Jemiola threw five strong innings for the Rafters, giving up one run on two hits.

IN THE PIPELINE

I am working on the Atlanta Braves Top 20 prospects for 2018. I should also have the Retros for Brandon Morrow and Marwin Gonzalez done soon.
