Good afternoon fellow baseball fans and welcome to the Minor League Ball Gameday discussion thread for Thursday, October 19th, 2017.

Wednesday was Day Eight of the 2017 Arizona Fall League. Some highlights:

****San Diego Padres prospect Javier Guerra (3-for-5) and Atlanta Braves prospect Alex Jackson (4-for-5, home run) led the Peoria Javelinas to a 6-4 win over the Surprise Saguaros.

****Milwaukee Brewers prospect Lucas Erceg went 2-for-4 with a home run to push the Salt River Rafters to victory over the Mesa Solar Sox, 6-5. Detroit Tigers prospect Spencer Turnbull gave up the homer but otherwise pitched well, giving up four hits over four innings with five strikeouts.

****San Francisco Giants outfield prospect Steven Duggar went 4-for-5 with three runs scored in Scottsdale’s 9-5 triumph over Glendale. Los Angeles Dodgers catching prospect Will Smith collected three hits in a losing cause.
