Monday was Day Seven of the 2017 Arizona Fall League. Some highlights:

****New York Mets catching prospect Tomas Nido hit two doubles for the Scottsdale Scorpions in their 10-1 mashing of the Glendale Desert Dogs. San Francisco Giants prospect Aramis Garcia and Cincinnati Reds prospect Taylor Sparks also collected two hits, while New York Yankees prospect Albert Abreu threw five shutout innings with eight strikeouts.

****St. Louis Cardinals catching prospect Andrew Knizner went 4-for-5 while teammate Brandon Lowe, a second baseman from the Tampa Bay Rays system, homered to lead Surprise to a 10-3 win against Peoria.

****Washington Nationals pitching prospect Kyle McGowin threw four shutout innings with five strikeouts to lead the Mesa Solar Sox to an 8-5 win against Salt River.
