Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Minor League Ball post-season prediction and discussion thread for Saturday, October 14th, 2017.

Yesterday we predicted that the Houston Astros would defeat the New York Yankees by a 5-2 score. The score was off but the result was correct, with Houston beating the Bronx Bombers 2-1. This brings our post-season prediction record to 9-9.

There are two games on tap today. In the afternoon game the Astros and Yankees will rematch behind starters Justin Verlander and Luis Severino. We’ll take the Astros in that game 6-3.

In the nightcap the National League Championship series gets started with Jose Quintana and the Chicago Cubs challenging the Los Angeles Dodgers and Clayton Kershaw. I’ll take the Dodgers in that one 5-2.

What say you?
