I am now working on the Colorado Rockies Top 20 prospects list for 2017. The next team in line is the Los Angeles Angels, to be followed by the Miami Marlins, Toronto Blue Jays, the Cincinnati Reds, the Seattle Mariners, and finally the San Diego Padres to complete the process. After that we will reconcile all trades that have occurred this winter, then work up a Top 175 prospects list for spring training.

Use this thread to discuss the Los Angeles Angels organization. Possible points for discussion include, but are certainly not limited to:

****The Angels finished 74-88, fourth place in the American League Western Division. You have the best player in baseball in Mike Trout, but you also have a very thin farm system that offers little short-term help shoring up the other holes in the MLB roster. How do you turn this around, and what is a realistic expectation for 2017?

****Would you consider trading Trout? What would be a reasonable return for him?

****Can Deolis Guerra take on any sort of larger role? What about Jose Valdez?

****What about Jefry Marte? He was solid with the bat. Does that continue and at what position does he settle?

****Alex Meyer: a post-hype prospect to watch?

****Lay out a draft and international strategy to rebuild the farm system.

****As always, feel free to share any sleepers or discuss Angels-oriented topics.
