****Just in case you hadn't noticed, Gary Sanchez of the New York Yankees went 3-for-4 with two homers yesterday against the Seattle Mariners and is now hitting .385/.429/.831 with eight homers in his first 65 major league at-bats. He's also thrown out five of the seven runners attempting to steal on him.

****Tampa Bay Rays first base prospect Casey Gillaspie hit two homers yesterday for Triple-A Durham in the International League, part of a 4-for-5, four RBI performance against Norfolk. On the season he is hitting a combined .275/.386/.452 with 28 doubles, 15 homers, and 75 walks in 414 at-bats between Double-A and Triple-A.
