Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the Thursday, May 5th edition of Minor League Ball daily notes. Here's a quick trip through the baseball world today.

****The first batch of 2016 Baseball Prospect Books were shipped out this morning. A larger batch will go out tomorrow, then the vast bulk will depart the premises on Saturday. By this time next week everyone should have their copy of the book, USPS willing.

****Over at Beyond the Boxscore, Jerry Burnes looks at Six prospects ready for the Show, including Pittsburgh Pirates right-handers Jameson Taillon and Tyler Glasnow.

****Also at Beyond the Boxscore (that's a great website, you need to look at it every day) Stacey Gotsulias looks at the extremely aggressive hitting approach of Arizona Diamondbacks rookie Brandon Drury Do you think Drury can remain this hot over the longer haul?

****Domenic Lanza at FakeTeams is waiting (not so) patiently for Houston Astros prospect A.J. Reed.

****Two items of particular note at Royals Review: an update on KC's top prospects by Shaun Newkirk, and a staff roundtable discussion on whether or not it is time to panic about 2016 and KC's recent poor play.

****At Fangraphs, August Fagerstrom makes a case that Francisco Lindor of the Cleveland Indians is already the best shortstop in MLB. Do you agree?

****At The Hardball Times, Brian Reinhart looks at junior college baseball, the minor leagues of college.
