****Carl Triano, also at Beyond the Boxscore, looks at Small Sample Size stars and scrubs.

****Domenic Lanza at FakeTeams checks in on major league rookies with the season a month old.

****Andrew Benintendi in the Red Sox system now has a 21-game hitting streak, setting a record for High-A Salem. Meanwhile, demoted catcher Blake Swihart is now playing the outfield in Triple-A.

****At Fangraphs, Jeff Sullivan looks at Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward and the strange hitting decisions he's been making lately.

****Dodgers prospect Jose De Leon with five scoreless innings in his Triple-A debut last night.
