As many of you probably know or better put, haven't been able to avoid hearing, Daily Fantasy Sports has come under fire over the last year. The NFL season started with a Tsunami of advertising from major players like Draft Kings and FanDuel and it eventually ended with Attorneys General and lawmakers releasing statements about the legality of DFS sports and suggestions about ways to legislate the booming industry.
Every state, as is their right, is considering how they want to handle the industry and progress is being made to bring some clarity to the uncertainty. Recently, FanDuel and Draft Kings agreed to cease operations in New York until June 30, which sparked a lot of reaction. Initial judgments by some consider this a blow to the DFS industry while insiders have argued that this is positive progress for the future of legalized Daily Fantasy Sports in New York and possibly elsewhere.

I partnered with J.J. Cooper of BaseballAmerica.com to discuss the future of Daily Fantasy Sports and you can read that here:
Before the recent developments and the release of my article for BaseballAmeric.com I sat down with Fantasy Sports Giant Ron Shandler, founder of BaseballHQ.com and Author of the Award Winning Fantasy Sports Book "The Baseball Forecaster."
We discussed the history as well as the future of Daily Fantasy Sports. He talks about how he witnessed the explosion of Internet traffic and the exponential growth of Daily Fantasy Sports. He expresses his thoughts on the real and the imagined, the bluster and the realities of the current atmosphere surrounding the DFS industry and the legal wrangling and legislation being discussed.
