I am now working on the St. Louis Cardinals Top 20 prospects list for 2016. The next team in line is the Tampa Bay Rays, to be followed by the Colorado Rockies, Chicago White Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates, Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres, and the Top 175 prospects for 2016 list.

***The Rays finished 80-82, in fourth place in the American League East. What do you make of the roster revamps? Does this team continue to hover around .500, or does it challenge for the division lead, or does it totally collapse?

***Tim Beckham: anything more than a utility infielder?

***What got into Mikie Mahtook down the stretch, with his .295/.351/.619 line? Let's just say that is out of context with his minor league career. . .but then, he was a college star and a first round pick. Has he really taken such a large leap forward?
