I am now working on the Houston Astros Top 20 Prospects list for 2017. The next team in line is the St. Louis Cardinals, To be followed by the Tampa Bay Rays, San Francisco Giants, Texas Rangers, Philadelphia Phillies, Boston Red Sox, and the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Use this thread to discuss the St. Louis Cardinals organization. Some possible points for discussion include, but are certainly not limited to,

****The Cardinals finished 2016 at 86-76, in second place in the National League Central Division behind the World Champion Chicago Cubs. The Cubs look built for the long haul. Do you think the Cardinals can keep pace? What do you see in 2017....a .500ish team? 90 or more wins? Or a rebuild?

****Randall Grichuk and Stephen Piscotty: who is a better hitter at age 27?

****Aledmys Diaz: do you see him as a lineup cornerstone going forward?

****Alex Reyes is still an official rookie for 2017. Do you expect him to challenge for Rookie of the Year?

****Luke Weaver: same comment and same question.

****Is Austin Gomber's upside being under-estimated?

****As always, feel free to share your sleeper prospects or anything else Cardinals-related.
