Yesterday we predicted that the Indians would beat the Blue Jays 5-4 to win the American League Pennant, and that the Cubs would beat the Dodgers 7-3 to even the NLCS at two games per, behind an Anthony Rizzo grand slam.
As you know, the Indians did beat the Jays 3-0. The Cubs mashed the Dodgers 10-2, and while Anthony Rizzo did not hit a grand slam, he did hit a home run and collect three RBI. I’ll take it.
That brings the post-season prediction record to 15-9.
For today we will predict a pitcher’s duel, won by the Cubs 2-0 behind eight shutout innings from Jon Lester.
