I am now working on the San Francisco Giants Top 20 prospects list for 2016. The next team in line is the Los Angeles Angels, to be followed by the Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds, Baltimore Orioles, Arizona Diamondbacks, and the Detroit Tigers.
Use this thread to discuss the Los Angeles Angels organization. Possible points for discussion include, but are certainly not limited to,
***The Angels finished 85-77, third place in the American League West. What is your over/under for 2016?
***Front office turmoil has been a big factor in the news here the last eight months, with the departure of Jerry DiPoto, the hiring of Billy Eppler, and the departure of other executives (Tim Bogar, Matt Klentak, Scott Servais) for other organizations. If you knew that Billy Eppler would read this article and take your advice, what piece of advice would you give him?
***The farm system was thin to begin with and trades have made it even more so. If Eppler put you in charge of revitalizing the system, what would be your approach in the draft and on the international market?
***What do you make of Kaleb Cowart and Kyle Kubitza? Are either of them going to help you in 2016?
***True or False: Nick Tropeano will fully emerge as an above-average and reliable starting pitcher in 2016.
***As always, feel free to discuss sleeper prospects or anything else Angel-oriented.
