Luis Severino
Luis Severino
Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

I am now working on the Chicago Cubs Top 20 prospects list for 2016. The next team in line is the New York Yankees, to be followed by the San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Angels, Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds, and the Baltimore Orioles.

Use this thread to discuss the New York Yankees organization. Possible points for discussion include, but are certainly not limited to,

***He exceeded rookie qualifications so he won't show up on prospect lists, but what is your take on Luis Severino? He was of course very effective/excellent in his first 11 major league starts. Does he slip from here? Improve? Or stay the same? If he slips, how much?

***Like Severino, Greg Bird moved past rookie limits. Here's a chance to talk about him. He hit .261/.343/.529 with 11 homers in his first 157 major league at-bats. Does that fairly represent his skills? Will he improve? Slip?

***The seemingly-eternal question: where does Gary Sanchez end up?

***True or False: Aaron Judge is an over-rated prospect who will not live up to his press clippings.

***True or False: Rob Refsnyder will have a better career (defined as higher career WAR value) than Gary Sanchez.

***As always, feel free to discuss sleeper prospects or anything else Yankee-related.
