Marsh Jackson, Jeri's father and my father-in-law, passed away today. He was 76 years old.
Marsh was a good and strong man who raised a wonderful daughter who I was fortunate enough to marry. He was a huge baseball fan, particularly of the Chicago White Sox, and would ask for tips on up-and-coming White Sox prospects every spring. He always encouraged us in our endeavors and he will be greatly missed.
Marsh is survived by his wife Gwen Jackson, his sons Joe and Dan, daughters Marsha and Jeri, and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in passing by his son Jack.
For obvious reasons I may not be around much in the coming days. Nick Melotte and the rest of the Minor League Ball staff will keep things running here. Thank you for your patience.
