Minor League Ball is looking for new contributors!

Now hiring:

**Minor League Observer positions (volunteer)

Qualifications:

**You know and understand the purpose of Minor League Ball: our mission is to cover all angles of minor league baseball, prospects, and major league rookies. You should be familiar with objective/sabermetric models of prospect analysis as well as subjective/traditional scouting methods. You don't have to be an expert in every field, but you need to be familiar with the basics of both and you need to be willing to learn what you don't know.

**You can write well, independently, and quickly. You self-edit but take advice and adopt suggestions based on best-practices.

**You understand AP style and fact-based reporting with sources, but can also flex a bit of your own knowledge and writing voice. Opinion pieces are fine and encouraged, but they need to be labeled as such and argued logically and reasonably.

Ideally, we want a Minor League Observer from each of the minor leagues (Pacific Coast League, California League, South Atlantic League, etc). who can contribute weekly reports and observations. The perfect candidate would be able to produce something along the lines of this report by Wilson Karaman or this report by Charlie Drysdale.

Interested? If so, please send the following information via email to Johnsickels@sbnation.com. We welcome and encourage applicants of all races, genders, and sexual orientations.

At this time, THESE ARE UNPAID VOLUNTEER POSITIONS.

Minor League Ball is over ten years old now and it has grown beyond what one person can handle on his own, or even two or three people. We want to continue expanding and take our community to the next step. Be a part of it.

We will be looking at all applications of course and will make the hiring decisions following the 2015 MLB Draft in June.
