I am now editing the 2015 Baseball Prospect Book. Here are some grade changes for notable prospects. The Top 20 Prospects per organization lists will be updated next week once this process is complete, starting with the Atlanta Braves since that team has seen huge changes since the early version of the list back in November. The revision process will also account for off-season trades.
KNOWN GRADE CHANGES FOR KEY PROSPECTS
Albert Almora, OF, Chicago Cubs: changed from original Grade B+ to updated Grade B
Brandon Drury, 3B, Arizona Diamondbacks: changed from original Grade B to updated Grade B+.
Max Kepler, OF, Minnesota Twins: changed from original Grade B- to updated Grade C+.
Yoan Lopez, RHP, Arizona Diamondbacks: rated as Grade B-. He had not signed yet when the original Arizona list was completed.
Yoan Moncada, INF, Boston Red Sox: rated as Grade A-. He had yet to sign when the original Boston list was completed.
Hunter Renfroe, OF, San Diego Padres: changed from original Grade B+ to updated Grade B.
My focus for revision is on players in the A/A-/B+/B/B- ranges. I am not going to worry overmuch about players in the Grade C territories.
