Good morning everyone. I have returned home from my mom's funeral and we are getting things back to normal around here. Everything went as well as could be expected under such circumstances.
The first step in resuming normal operations is for me to catch up on baseball news, as I have been out-of-touch with current events for the last four days and for much of the winter meetings period. That is my main goal for today.
The second step is to resume work on the long-delayed Los Angeles Dodgers prospect lists. Trades have necessitated more adjustments and I want to go back and review the work I'd already done to make sure that the analysis is sound since I was distracted while writing much of it.
One thing I need to think about is Jose Peraza, who has now been traded twice in the last six months. His stock with some analysts (and within the game itself) seems to have declined compared to the beginning of 2015, with some reliable observers seeing him as more of a utility type at this point. Others (including the Reds obviously) still see a long-term regular there.
What is YOUR take on Peraza?
