Game One of the 2015 Major League Baseball World Series begins tonight at 7 PM central, with Matt Harvey and the visiting New York Mets taking on Edinson Volquez and the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. Here is an open discussion thread and we hope to be active in the comments section as the game progresses.

Predictions? Here's mine: the Royals take Game One, 4-2. Harvey pitches great over seven innings with eight strikeouts but gets undone by a couple of bad plays behind him in the field, leading to two unearned runs in the fifth inning. The bullpen coughs up a couple more runs in the eighth inning midst cold and damp conditions. Volquez is less effective than Harvey and struggles through 5.1 innings with four walks but good luck and good defense limit the damage to two runs. The Royals bullpen then comes in and shuts the door. Neither team hits a home run.

Thoughts? Your predictions? Enjoy the game.
