I was intending to finish the Houston Astros prospect list today. Instead I ended up in the emergency room this morning with a worsening of whatever the hell has been wrong the last few weeks.
The good news (and it is good news) is that all of my tests were totally normal: blood normal, urine normal, liver and kidney functions normal, abdominal and chest CAT scan and Xrays normal. They have ruled out a bacterial infection or anything that needs immediate surgery. As the doctor put it, "we don't know what is wrong with you, but we know it won't kill you."
The bad news is that they still don't know what is wrong. The ER doctor agrees with my primary doctor that it could be gallstones and we will schedule an ultrasound tomorrow. In the meantime, i am supposed to take my medicine and sleep today.
So that's what I am going to do.
In the meantime, Nick and Wilson are working on some cool stuff. For now, here's a topic for fun community discussion:
What is the most "clutch" performance you ever saw, even if you don't believe in "clutch"? For me it would have to be Jack Morris for the Twins in Game Seven of the 1991 World Series.
