It is clear that I’m behind schedule on the book. NOT LIKE LAST YEAR! but behind schedule. i still anticipate that it will be finished in the first week of February, but the turnaround on the print copies will depend on the efficiency of the printer.

Causes of delay: my mother-in-law has been very sick and was hospitalized twice in the last few months, including surgery for colon cancer last week. This has been a time drain obviously but equally obviously helping her and my wife was more important than the book.

Secondly, my own health has been slipping the last few weeks, including a variety of unpleasant symptoms including persistent severe back pain that is resistant to pain killers, muscle spasms about the rib cage, and near-constant nausea. These problems have reduced my work productivity substantially. I am not exactly sure what is wrong, but it is most likely either gallstones, an ulcer, or GERD. It has been going on since November. I am going to the doctor tomorrow since it is increasingly difficult to work through the discomfort, plus over-the-counter and home remedies are not helping.

Thanks for your patience!
