The entire staff at Minor League Ball would like to wish all of our readers and community members a Happy New Year and best wishes for 2015. A new year to me means a fresh start, and the continuation of prospect list season. It also means updating everyone on what's going on with my own personal Top 20 Prospects lists.
With the incredible amount of trade activity this Winter, I have not been able to put in the necessary time to do a full write up on every player in each team's Top 20 as John does. To do so would have me finish the last of the 30 teams some time in April or May. As a concession, I will still be writing up the top tier of talent; anyone who rates out as a 4.5 or 5 star prospect.
I will be doing each team separately with a handy little table at the bottom giving you their age for next year and the highest level they reached in 2014. At the end of each division, I will do a recap post that will rank the best prospects in the division. I will be starting on the East coast and will alternate between leagues, kicking everything of with my hometown Braves.
There are still a handful of trades from December to analyze, but those can wait until the completion of the NL East. I hope everyone enjoys and feel free to leave your thoughts, comments, concerns, etc. below in the comments section.
