I am now working on the Texas Rangers prospect list. The next team in line is the Pittsburgh Pirates, to be followed by the Tampa Bay Rays, San Diego Padres, Detroit Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, Oakland Athletics, Philadelphia Phillies, Cleveland Indians, Colorado Rockies, Seattle Mariners, and the Washington Nationals to finish the project.

Use this thread to discuss the Pittsburgh Pirates. Some potential points of discussion:

***It worked! The Pirates won 94 games and reached the playoffs. So, what happens now? What do you expect for 2014? Will they achieve 90+ wins again or should slippage be expected?

***Will Jameson Taillon follow in Gerrit Cole's footsteps in 2014? How much Triple-A time would you give him?

***Gregory Polanco seems like a very good prospect to me and a guy who will develop into a productive long-term regular, but some people think that underestimates him and that he's a pure Grade A prospect who will develop into an All-Star. Where do you come down on that and why?

***Tyler Glasnow posted insane K/IP and H/IP ratios last year in Low-A but also walked a lot of guys. Which tendency will take hold at higher levels? Does he improve his command and develop into a top-notch pitching prospect, or will hitters at higher levels take advantage of his wildness?

***As always, feel free to discuss sleepers or anything else related the Pirates system in this thread.
