Minor League Ball Gameday: Tuesday, March 11

Hey folks, sorry for the late posting, but better now than never. Nick Castellanos was the star of the day as he pitched in on Detroit's 17-5 shellacking of the Cardinals. He hit his second home run of the year, drove in four and scored twice. Stephen Piscotty of he Cards had a late inning three-run home run in his only at bat.

James Paxton turned in a solid start for Seattle. He turned in four frames with a run allowed on five hits with two punch outs and no free passes. Trevor Bauer didn't come close to that kind of success for Cleveland. He work two innings and gave up seven run (six earned) on seven hits, two walks, a strike out and a gopher ball.

Although there were many fantastic standout performances by players outside of the Top 100, I won't be able to cover them today. That feature will be back tomorrow though. In the meantime, feast on all the guys optioned at the end. Enjoy everyone.
