Peoria 7 - Salt River 4
It took the Javelinas seven innings to kick start the offense but once it started, it did not stop. 3B Hunter Dozier (PEJ) and C Justin O'Conner (PEJ) led the way with Dozier driving in two with two singles and was hit by a pitch while O'Conner plated three with two singles as well. RF Edward Salcedo (PEJ) picked up his ninth double, scored twice, and drove in one with two strike outs. 1B Jacob Wilson (PEJ) reached three times by working a walk and hitting two singles, scoring twice and making a fielding error. 2B Joe Sclafani (SRR) doubled, singled, and walked while crossing the plate twice. 1B Ryan Casteel (SRR) singled twice and scored, driving in a run on a sac fly and he was also caught stealing. LF Eddie Rosario (SRR) tripled for his only hit, scoring once and plating a run with a strike out.
The Rafters wasted a fantastic performance from RHP Anthony DeSclafani (SRR) as he struck out four in five innings, allowing just two hits with no runs coming across. RHP Miguel Almonte (PEJ) gave up a pair of runs on five hits and three walks, striking out two in four innings. LHP Nick Maronde (PEJ) threw a perfect 7th inning for the win, and RHP Sam Tuivailala (PEJ) saved his fifth game of the AFL, allowing a single walk in the inning. RHP Reid Redman (SRR) blew the save though, giving up four runs in 1.1 innings of relief, surrendering four hits and a walk with one strike out, truly earning the loss.

Glendale 5 - Scottsdale 1
The Glendale pitching staff stymied the Scorpions, allowing just four hits all game. SS Tim Anderson (GDD) was 3-4 with a double, stealing a base, driving in one and scoring twice. C Shawn Zarraga (GDD) drove in two runs with a pair of singles. and CF Tyrone Taylor (GDD) scored once with an RBI single and also struck out. LF Garabez Rosa (GDD) was 1-3 with a stolen base, a run scored and a sacrifice. SS Blake Miller (SCO) drove in the only run with a single and two strike outs. DH Aaron Judge (SCO) scored that run after reaching on a walk and a single. C Kyle Higashioka (SCO) doubled, and 1B Greg Bird (SCO) stole his first base after reaching on two walks with a strike out.
RHP Brooks Hall (GDD) was dominant for the Desert Dogs, allowing just one hit in four innings, striking out two with no free passes or runs scored, earning the win. LHP Adam Morgan (SCO) took the loss with one run scoring on three hits and a walk, striking out three.

Surprise 11 - Mesa 4
The Saguaros benefited from 10 walks and 13 hits to terrorize the Solar Sox pitching staff in their 11-4 victory in the Military Appreciation Game. SS Trea Turner (SUR) was busy all night, going 5-5 with four runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base. RF Hunter Renfroe (SUR) launched a grand slam as part of a 2-4 night with five RBI's. CF Mallex Smith (SUR) reached base three times with a stolen base, two walks, a single, run scored, and an RBI. He was also picked off and struck out. DH Nick Williams (SUR) drove in three with a single, double, and a walk, striking out twice. C Luke Maile (SUR) even stole a base after working a walk and singling, scoring once. LF Jesse Winker (SUR) scored a pair of runs with a pair of walks and a single, also driving in one and getting caught stealing. 1B Cal Towey (MSS) was credited with the only two RBI's for the Solar Sox, doubling and singling with a walk and a run scored. CF Dalton Pompey (MSS) drew a pair of walks and RF Bijan Rademacher (MSS) singled, walked, stole a base, scored a run, and even threw out two runners on the bases.
RHP Justin Hancock (SUR) didn't allow a hit in his four inning start, but he did walk four with a strike out. It was still good enough for the win though and Hancock also induced a 7:3 GO:FO ratio. RHP Tanner Peters (MSS) took the hill for Mesa and did not fare nearly as well as his opposition. Two runs crossed the plate in 2.2 innings of work, allowing four hits and three walks, striking out two and getting hit with the loss.
