There’s a lot coming up for Minor League Ball's ‘Social Sunday’ with the prospect chats and Q & A’s.
Here’s a tentative schedule:
OCTOBER
12th – Prospect chat returns. I’ll host with guest-writer Lee Warren. We’ll talk Omaha Storm Chasers and the Royals future.
OFF WEEK
26th - ‘Social Sunday’ regular slot with Rays 4th round pick Blake Bivens. He spoke in August to Minor League Ball about his difficulty adjusting to rookie ball. This time, we’ll talk about the future and readers can field their own questions for the pitcher.
NOVEMBER
2nd – Prospect chat ‘Mets Focus’. Host – ‘Amazin’ Avenue’s’ Jeffrey Paternostro, who handles the majority of the minor league coverage for ‘AA’, will cover some of the higher ranked prospects in the system, including Gabriel Ynoa who made his Double-A debut this past season.
9th – Q & A with Huntsville Stars GM Buck Rogers. Rogers will address the Brewers Double-A affiliate making the move to Biloxi, Mississippi, where ground has broken on the new stadium.
16th – Prospect Chat ‘Braves Focus’
Thanksgiving OFF-WEEK
Player Q & A Returns
Certain details are still being decided for a few of the dates, so further announcements are coming.
The first prospect chat with myself and guest writer Nick Mellotte went great, and thanks to everyone that got in on that. Not every question was answered, but hosts will always do their best in that allotted 30-60 minutes of scheduled time.
Also, the first Q & A with Padres prospect Cody Decker was so fun and interesting. These things tend to run overtime, as that one did, but once the conversation gets going, it’s easy to lose track of time. Getting to everyone’s questions is the most important thing though, so always throw one out there.
By the way, feel free to make suggestions of what or who you’d like to see on the chats.
Looking forward to everything in store. Thank you again, readers.
