Welcome back to the Minor League Ball AFL Gameday. Salt River outlasted Peoria for a 4-2 win, Surprise inked out a one run victory, 6-5 over Mesa, and Scottsdale beat Glendale 7-3.

Game Recaps from Monday, October 20th

Salt River 5 - Peoria 0

Quick recap -

RHP Vincent Velasquez (SRR) throroughly dominated the Peoria line up, throwing four scoreless innings, allowing just a single hit with two strike outs and no free passes. RHP Christian Bergman (SRR) followed with three more nearly perfect innings, also allowing one hit with no walks and three strike outs. C Chad Wallach (SRR) plated three with a double, a walk, and was picked off at second base by the catcher. LF Eddie Rosario (SRR) singled twice and hit a pair of sac flies, driving in two runs.

Mesa 11 - Surprise 6

Quick recap -

RF Cal Towey (MSS)LF Jacob Hanneman (MSS), and SS Daniel Robertson (MSS) each notched three hits in the contest with Towey and Robertson launching their first homers of the Fall. DH Addison Russell (MSS) left the yard as well, plating three, and also singling. 1B Patrick Kivlehan (SUR) had a four hit game, singling each time with three RBI and a run scored. SS Deven Marrero (SUR) hit a pair of doubles and walked twice, and CF Jesse Winker (SUR) hit a three-run homer.

Scottsdale 7 - Glendale 6

Quick recap -

CF Roman Quinn (SCO) keeps reaching base and then stealing one, working three walks in the game with his ninth stolen base. RF Tyler Austin (SCO) drove in two with a double, a single, and two errors while 2B Kelby Tomlinson (SCO) was 2-4 with a double, stolen base, and an RBI. 3B Garabez Rosa (GDD) and DH Nick Ramirez (GDD) each hit homers for the Desert Dogs with Ramirez's being a solo shot and Rosa hit one with a man on. SS Corey Seager (GDD) and LF Scott Schebler (GDD) both singled twice as well. RHP Francellis Montas (GDD) was unhittable in four innings, allowing a run on two walks, a hit by pitch, and three punch outs, not factoring in the decision.
