Good afternoon prospect watchers. Here is your daily gameday thread. The introductory section will get longer with the different categories restored starting tomorrow.

***Yesterday's Minor League Ball Gameday thread has the typical highlights.

***Tomorrow's Prospect of the Day will be Matt Magill of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Nolan Arenado of the Colorado Rockies will be Prospect of the Day on Tuesday.

***Minnesota Twins prospect Kyle Gibson threw 6.2 solid innings for Triple-A Rochester yesterday, giving up two hits and two walks for zero runs, fanning seven. He now has a 3.33 ERA with a 26/9 K/BB in 27 innings.

***Boston Red Sox prospect Anthony Ranaudo looks like his old Louisiana State University self right now, fanning nine in six shutout innings yesterday for Double-A Portland, allowing just two hits. He now has a 0.83 ERA with a 26/5 K/BB in 22 innings.

***Seattle Mariners infield prospect Nick Franklin went 1-for-3 with two walks for Triple-A Tacoma, raising his season line to .385/.508/.577 with 12 walks and seven strikeouts in 52 at-bats.

***Houston Astros prospect Nolan Fontana went 0-for-4 for High-A Lancaster, but is still hitting a robust .367/.519/.570 on the season. As an experienced college hitter with good plate discipline, he should be expected to do well in the California League, so don't go rating him as a future star just yet. Let's see how he holds up in Double-A.

***Mariners outfield prospect Abraham Almonte hit for the cycle yesterday for Double-A Jackson.

***Today's slate of minor league games.
