Happy Saturday prospect watchers. Here is your daily thread.
***Yesterday's Minor League Ball Gameday thread has all the highlights from Friday's minor league action.
***Minnesota Twins outfield prospect Adam Brett Walker drove in seven last night for Low-A Cedar Rapids, leading the Kernels to a 13-8 win over Great Lakes.
***Rehabbing major league catcher versus Low-A pitching results in two homers for Atlanta Braves backstop Brian McCann, playing for Rome. I wonder how much the presence of a rehabbing major league star boosts the attendance of the average minor league team. I'm sure it does to some extent, if there is enough warning for the local fans, but I'd love to know if it is a 5% boost or a 30% boost.
***Seattle Mariners pitching prospect Danny Hultzen has a strained rotator cuff and will miss at least two weeks for rest and rehabilitation.
***Oakland Athletics 2012 first round pick Daniel Robertson made his 2013 debut yesterday for Low-A Beloit in loud fashion, falling a triple short of the cycle in a 16-10 loss to South Bend.
***Today's slate of minor league games.
