Good afternoon prospect watchers. Here is today's thread to discuss prospect news from Florida and Arizona, as well as some other items of interest for you. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

***Evan Gattis of the Braves hits another home run yesterday and is now hitting .440/.464/.800 on the spring.

***Check out this nice piece about Texas Rangers pitching prospect Cody Buckel and his budding acting career, by Justin Hunter at MLB Daily Dish.

***Lee Trocinski at Beyond the Boxscore wonders which version of Dustin Ackley will show up with the Mariners in 2013.

***University of Minnesota left-hander Tom Windle threw a no-hitter against Western Illinois Friday evening. He has a 1.96 ERA in 23 innings this spring with a 19/7 K/BB ratio. Windle is a potential first round pick for the 2013 draft, and you can read his pre-season draft profile here.

***Stanford's Mark Appel was devastating yesterday against the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, fanning 15. He now has a 43/6 K/BB ratio in 30 innings with a 1.20 ERA, and has essentially erased any doubts scouts might have had about his ability to dominate and use his secondary pitches well. Could he end up in an Astros uniform after all?

***I hope to have the Top 150 Prospects List done on Tuesday.
