Happy Saturday prospect watchers. Here is today's daily thread for prospect news. As Spring Training winds down and the regular season is about to begin, how happy are you with the roster of your favorite team?

Some links to consider for today:

***San Diego Padres prospect and incoming second baseman Jedd Gyorko whacked a home run off Alexi Ogando of the Texas Rangers in the Alamodome yesterday

***The New York Mets dumped erstwhile prospects Reese Havens and Darin Gorski off the 40-man roster yesterday. Havens, a first round pick in 2008, was a top prospect for awhile but has seen his career crippled by frequent injuries that seemed to rob him of offensive juice and bat speed (at least that's what it looked like to me). Gorski is a fifth-starter/long relief type finesse pitcher who pitched adequately in Double-A last year but didn't look like he had much of a future in New York. Would you want your favorite team to take a chance on either of these guys?

***Following up Rob Neyer's complaints earlier this week about fake cat team names, SBNation's continuing coverage of Feline Baseball News turns to Marc Normandin, who asks his cat for her 2013 major league predictions. The methodology seems airtight to me.

***Camden Chat looks at Five Sleeper Baltimore Orioles prospects to watch in 2013.

***Fish Stripes continues their very detailed and informative look at Miami Marlins prospects, including Mason Hope today. I like Hope a lot and agree with Conor Dorney's take on him.

I will have an Off-Topic "What are you reading" post up later today. There will be a ton of content to celebrate Opening Day, including a look at all Sleeper Alert! picks from the 2013 Baseball Prospect Book, so stay tuned!
