Good morning prospect faithful. Here is the daily discussion thread for minor league information, prospect news, and your thoughts/ideas about spring training in Florida and Arizona. On the links-of-interest agenda for today, we find:
***In case you haven't noticed, I posted my Top 150 Prospects List this morning. I will be in that thread most of the day answering your questions/queries/complaints about the list, so stop by.
***The 2013 Baseball Prospect Book is still for sale. We mail books every day and send out .pdf sale copies every evening. You won't find it on Amazon because I refuse to be assimilated.
***Mark Normandin at Over the Monster has a couple of prospecty things today: Allen Webster's revised mechanics that are improving his command, plus a look at strong defenders in the system.
***Don't panic if your team doesn't have a closer, says Mike Mulvenna at Beyond the Boxscore. Do you agree with him?
***Would you take a look at Brennan Boesch if you were the Yankees? He needs a job after being cut by the Tigers.
***Julio Teheran is the talk of Braves camp, but lefty Alex Wood is also making a positive impression.
***I just noticed that Chicago Cubs prospect Matt Szczur is just 1-for-16 this spring. Which means nothing really, given that he was heading for Double-A anyway. However, since I just pointed out that he's 1-for-16, he is due to go 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple, and four RBI sometime in the next few days just to make me look bad.
