A busy weekend in baseball, with Brian McCann, Jhonny Peralta, and Dan Haren signing free agent contracts.

Good morning everyone. Here is an open discussion thread for you.

Major news over the weekend included the Yankees signing catcher Brian McCann for five years and $85 million, the Cardinals signing shortstop Jhonny Peralta for four years and $53 million, and Dan Haren signing with the Dodgers for one year and $10 million.

All three players are worthy of Prospect Retrospectives and career profiles, so I am working on those. Watch for them later today.
