Discussing the future of the Minnesota Twins organization.

It is time to begin our yearly winter minor league organization discussions. For you new readers, basically what happens here is that you get to see how some of the sausage is made as I work on the 2014 Baseball Prospect Book and the Top 20 Organization Prospect lists for 2014.

This starts with an organization discussion for each team, followed by a preliminary prospect list, some player comment excerpts, and then the Top 20 list.

By tradition, the first three teams discussed are the Twins, Braves, and Royals.

So let's get started and discuss the Minnesota Twins farm system. The big league club still stinks, but by all accounts the farm system looks strong, headlined by Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano. But there is depth beyond that pair, particularly on the positional side.

Key points for the community to discuss:

***If you were the Twins, how would you handle Sano in 2014? Would you send him back to Double-A? Begin him in Triple-A? How quickly would you be willing to promote him to the majors?
***Does Aaron Hicks deserve another opportunity?
***How much slack do you give Kyle Gibson?
***Do you think Josmil Pinto is for real?
***True or False: Oswaldo Arcia will lower his strikeout rate and emerge as a more complete hitter in 2014.
***What sleeper prospects do you like? Any more Pintos out there?
