Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels and Buster Posey of the San Francisco Giants are the 2012 SBN Awards Players of the Year.
Trout received 22 first-place nods in American League voting. Triple Crown winner Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers received the other four first-place slots. In the National League, Posey received 26 first-place votes; Ryan Braun of the Brewers received seven; and Andrew McCutchen of the Pirates received two.
My AL ballot was Trout, Cabrera, Justin Verlander, Robinson Cano, Adrian Beltre, Alex Gordon, Austin Jackson, Ben Zobrist, Edwin Encarnacion, and Prince Fielder.
