Two of the top draft prospects are going in opposite directions right now. Rice 3B Anthony Rendon has homered on consecutive days and Texas Christian's LHP Matt Purke will miss his weekend start due to a blister. We will have to wait another week to see what Purke can do.
Texas RHP Taylor Jungmann has 2 consecutive complete game shutouts.
Oklahoma 3B Garrett Beuchele, and son of Steve, has 5 HR's in 8 games. He's not a great prospect as a 3B, but he is showing the bat has some power. I wasn't all that impressed with him last year when I saw him, but this can only help his draft stock.
Georgia Tech LHP Jed Bradley threw 7 no hit innings today against St. John's, while striking out 10.
Texas A and M RHP John Stilson was still hitting 90-93 after 7 innings showing that there is a chance he could be more than a reliever.
Vanderbilt RHP Sonny Gray struck out 6 in 6 IP while allowing 3 hits and one run. He may have the best breaking ball in the draft.
